11th Race For The Rescues on October 15, 2016 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. This is a “professionally timed” sporting event you can run with your dog “if you choose”. There is also a 1k Dog Walk and Kids Fun Run.Special 15% Discount Code is: RUN2016
This event is sponsored by AUDI and will have the Laker Girls & Kings Ice Crew cheerleaders kicking off the race. We have over 70 vendor booths, HUGE silent auction, face painting for kids, food trucks, give-a-ways etc. We will have a “wave machine” with surfing dogs competing for a spot on this year’s rescue float at the Rose Bowl Parade. We also have the “Catty Wagon” the first cat adoption vehicle and it’s amazing!
The heart of the day for us is our “Rockin Adoption Show” featuring at-risk dogs dressed in costumes walking down the runway in hopes of being adopted. Shelter dogs & cats are brought from the Pasadena Humane Society and LA Animal Services. For the last 10 years all shelter trucks go back empty, we intend to make that happen again this year!
