Participate in the Empower Run/Walk Virtually on Feb 26-27
The Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice (LACLJ) invites you to join us for our second Annual Empower Run held virtually on February 26th – February 27th.
Founded in 1973, LACLJ is a nonprofit whose mission is to secure justice for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and empower them to create their own future. LACLJ is the only legal services agency in L.A. County with the primary goal of serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence. LACLJ annually serves over 800 survivors in need, many of whom are mothers, undocumented immigrants, and families experiencing multiple barriers to accessing justice.
The Empower Run is a virtual event with the option of running or walking 1 mile, a 5k, or a 10k. All participants will have access to an interactive virtual run experience through RaceJoy and receive a medal and t-shirt.
The Empower run is a new fundraising event for LACLJ. With your help, we hope to spread awareness about the unique challenges that low-income survivors face and secure funds to help survivors obtain restraining orders, access community resources and navigate the justice system.
Your participation will be a step towards helping survivors and their families find safe and secure justice by giving them access to life-changing services.
Don’t hesitate to contact Dario Grant at firstname.lastname@example.org to join us in supporting survivors. We look forward to hearing from you.
