Why I run: I run to take up space, move my body, challenge myself, get outside and connect with others.
Favorite Shoe: Depends on what I am doing! For casual running, Brooks or Asics, for speedier workouts, Saucony (Endorphin), for races, Nike Alphafly 1 or 2 and for trails, Hoka
Favorite Distance: Marathon and half marathon
Favorite Place to run: Pasadena and San Gabriel mountains
Favorite or go-to workout: My coach typically prescribes a workout called "mixed up miles" in the final couple of weeks leading up to a marathon. I like it because I am usually feeling fit and excited in those weeks. The pace switching between 10k-half and marathon is both challenging and fun. I also really enjoy a workout called The Michigan that has both a fast track component and a steady road component.
What I like to eat/drink before a run: Coffee (a must), banana, pop tart, oatmeal or sweet potato cookie
Favorite post-race meal: Burger and fries
Training philosophy: Go fast, Have fun, Rest hard
