50-MILE RIDGE ROUTE ULTRA
From Grapevine to Castaic. Runners must climb 4,000’ out of the Central Valley, travel through Tejon Ranch, California’s largest private nature reserve, and see Southern California untouched, as it was a century ago before reaching the Antelope Valley. Runner’s will continue along on 100-year old pavement, brick, and gravel, high above Interstate 5 on the original Old Ridge Route that traverses the San Gabriel Mountains. Descending onto Castaic Lake is the final dirt section to the lakeside finish.
50K RIDGE ROUTE ULTRA
Starting at Ridge Route Ranch in Gorman all the way to Castaic Lake. This net downhill course is mostly paved on the original 100-year old Ridge Route. Historic aid stations locations bring the route alive as runners approach Castaic Lake from above. The final 10k on the park’s dirt roads features clear lake views, rolling grassy fields, and gradual canyon descents.
20K & 5-MILE TRAIL RUNS
Hit the trails from Castaic Lake and finish on the 50-Mile and 50K routes. These canyon fire road are challenging and scenic, featuring long climbs, rolling descents, and beautiful views of the lake and the course. The 20K, figure eight course boasts three major climbs while the 5-mile loop starts steep and drops gradually through the best points of the park.
