The 2018 MWTR Has a Waiting LIst
The race is full, but those who those on the waiting list who keep up their training and yes, wait, usually get in, due to injuries, schedule conflicts….and cold feet!
For both registrations, an account with the City of Sierra Madre MUST be set up prior to registration. If you do not already have one, please visit the following website to create one: https://apm.activecommunities.com/sierramadre. If you already have an account, please double check that the information is current. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check-made payable to the City of Sierra Madre, and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).
Waitlist In the event that you do not obtain one of the 350 MWTR registration spaces, your name will be added to the MWTR Waitlist. As spaces become available, persons on the Waitlist will be contacted based on the order in which individuals were added. Although we cannot guarantee a certain number of cancellations, each year there are cancellations. Waitlisted runners are contacted up to the week prior to the event. If you are interested in running, but are on the Waitlist, we encourage you to keep training. Mount Wilson Trail Race
Kids’ Fun Run – Saturday, May 26, 2018 The Mount Wilson Trail Race (ages 14 and above) is Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. The Kids’ Fun Run (ages 13 and under) is the same day and begins at approximately 7:45 a.m. Both the MWTR and Kids’ Fun Run begin in Kersting Court in Sierra Madre.
Refunds and Cancellations In the event that you must withdraw from the race, please contact the City of Sierra Madre Community Services Department at (626) 355-5278 or via email to Lawren Heinz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Clarissa Lowe at email@example.com.
A refund will be issued, less the $11 cancellation fee, in the form of credit to the patron’s account with the City of Sierra Madre. The credit will remain on the patron’s account for one year from the date issued and the credit may be used for any program or service offered by the City of Sierra Madre Community Services Department. Notification of the cancellation must be made at least three (3) days before the day of the MWTR. However, if you know sooner, please notify us ASAP so that someone from the Waitlist can fill your spot. Refunds, in the form of credit, will not be issued unless the Community Services Department is able to fill your spot from the Waitlist. Cancellation Due to Injury/Medical Reason In the event of an injury or medical related concern, a full refund, less the $11 cancellation fee, will be issued, provided a doctor’s note is provided to the Manager of the Community Services Department. The refund will be in the form of a credit to the patron’s account with the City of Sierra Madre, good for one year from the date of cancellation, or a refund by check upon the submission of a written request to the Manager of the Department. The written request must be made within ten (10) working days of the event which the patron could not attend for medical reasons.
