Lincoln High School in conjunction with the Los Angeles State Historic Park proudly invites your team to participate in the Inaugural City of Angels Cross Country Invitational. It will be held at the newly renovated Los Angeles State Historic Park. The Invitational will consist of 6 races run by team levels: Boys and Girls Frosh/Soph, Boys and Girls JV and Boys and Girls Varsity. Each race will be run 30 minutes apart to give every coach an opportunity to watch every team and not worry about overlapping races. In addition, and in anticipation of the post season, we’ve shorten the race to a 2 mile course!

AWARDS: Top 30 places will receive medals in every race. In addition, Team Trophies will be awarded to the Team Champion and Runner-up in the Varsity Races and Team Champion to the Frosh/Soph Races only.
REGISTRATION: Please confirm your intent to participate by registering at www.athletic.net by Friday, October 6, 2017. Final Rosters will be due by Monday, October 16, 2017
EVENT T-SHIRT: Event T-shirts will be available for $15 while they last.
COURSE INFORMATION: The race will start on grass for the first 75 meters and onto to a 99% dirt course! Completely flat and guarantee to run your best 2 mile cross country time!
ADMISSION/PARKING: No admission charge but there will be meter parking available inside the park and additional parking adjacent to the park entrance (wood chips area). Buses will be able to drop-off athletes inside the park and will be directed to a designated bus area.
LOCATION-DIRECTIONS: There are several routes into the park’s main entrance at 1245 North Spring Street. If you have access to the Metro Rail, the park is less than a block away from the Chinatown Station on the gold line. If you are traveling northbound or southbound on the 101 fwy, exit Alameda Street, turn right at the off ramp and Alameda turns into North Spring Street. The park will be on your left. If you are traveling on the I-5 Freeway, exit Broadway, go west and stay in left lane. When Broadway splits in two directions, take North Spring Street to the left. The park will be on your right.
TENTS/CANOPIES: We strongly encourage you to bring team tents or canopies as there is very limited shade. The trees are still maturing!
CONCESSIONS: There will be food and drink vendors available.
MEDIC: There will be a medic on site for emergencies only.
