Favorite Shoe: Saucony Kinvara

Favorite Distance To Race: Marathon and 100K

Favorite Place To Run: Santa Barbara. The views are amazing!

Favorite Post-Race Meal: BBQ! Love getting into a brisket and classic sides! Central Texas knows how to do it right!

Training Philosophy: I’m all about taking the long view. I like to break my goals into smaller segments that are actionable each day. It’s amazing what you can accomplish over the course of a month or better yet years! Consistency is the key.

Favorite Or Go-To Workout: Love a good ladder workout. Twenty minute warm-up into a 2-4 x (200m, 400m, 800m, 1200m, 800m, 400m, 200m). Rest time is up to you. Follow that with a recovery mile or two and you got a great power session! Great for marathon training and getting your legs moving!

What I Like To Eat/Drink Before A Run: Not a big eater before runs, but for races, I like to have a banana, some oats, and half a bagel. Hydration is critical so drink lots of water too.

Favorite Quote That Inspires You: “Do it for the Story.” Whether we want to do something or not, I like to think that whatever the result, I’ll at least get a story out of it!

Why I Run: Running has been a part of my life now for the past 12 years. Beginning way back with my high school’s Cross Country team, I ran throughout college and into postgraduate life. For me, it’s all about the people and experiences. Some of my best friends were made durning practice and on the trails. Traveling across the country and even internationally for races, running has exposed me to so much and gifted me some amazing and frankly quite crazy memories. The desire to experience new places, develop friendships and chase my goals keeps me going! Running is truly a love of mine and I am always eager to share it with others.

Where To Find Me When I’m Not Running: At a museum or gallery checking out some modern and contemporary art! Roy Lichtenstein and Edward Hopper are my favorites!

Personal Bests:
Marathon: 2:32:40
50K: 3:58:57
100K: 10:57:27
100 Mile: 31:10:18

Other Tidbits: I have been a running coach now for 6 years. Coaching both high school and middle school Cross Country and Track and Field I love developing the future generation of athletes. Being a coach is something I thoroughly enjoy and believe has and continues to make me a better runner.
